Art Engagements/’Live’ Painting





The Rivervale Community Club Building Fund Committee (CC BFC) organized the Punggol East Golf Challenge 2016 on Thursday, 19 May 2016 at Singapore Island Country Club. Both Deputy Prime Minster, Mr Teo Chee Hean and Emeritus Senior Minister, Mr Goh Chok Tong graced the event as Guests of Honour. In addition, Emeritus Senior Minister Mr Goh too, led the VIP golf flight in the afternoon. The objective of the Punggol East Golf Challenge 2016 was to raise funds for the new Rivervale Community Club (CC) that will be situated next to Blk 118 Rivervale Drive. The proposed modern CC intends to offer social and recreational activities for all Punggol East residents. It will also act as an alternative service hub for all residents, particularly serving as an avenue for needy residents to seek social assistance. The total development cost is estimated to be $20,000,000. The community was tasked to raise 10% of the amount while the remaining 90% will be borne by the Singapore government. Adeline Yeo painted “A Wonderful World 2016” live and blindfolded with an accompanying rendition of the song A Wonderful World sung by homegrown singer and composer Clement Chow. During the live auction, her artwork was immediately bidded by a member of the audience and picked up at $21,000. She also donated a pair of Dragon and Phoenix paintings from the Golden Harvest series that raised an additional $6,200.

The 5th outlet of Japan’s world famous curry rice house was opened with much fanfare on 30 October at Plaza Singapura. Adeline Yeo graced the Grand Opening with a live performance that witnessed her painting blindfolded. She was accompanied by the Japanese Taiko drum performance and created the artwork titled “Make A Wish” that was auctioned off to the Children’s Wishing Well,  a charity focused on supporting students from low income families in Singapore. (

President Tony Tan Keng Yam and Mrs Mary Tan were the Guests-of-Honour at the 115th Peranakan Ball, The Fullerton Hotel on 21 August 2015. Organised by The Peranakan Association Singapore, a non-profit organisation run by an elected committee of volunteers, the annual event raises funds for the Association’s mission of preserving and promoting Peranakan Culture. Adeline Yeo, born of Peranakan parents, took to the stage and painted “Wings of Love” live. She was also blindfolded by Peter Wee, President of The Peranakan Association.

 “Shaping the Future”, the theme for the Singapore Association for Mental Health (SAMH) Charity Dinner on Nov 7, 2014 at The Fullerton Hotel, was graced by Senior Minister of State, Mrs Josephine Teo, Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Transport. The charity dinner was supported by home-grown talents like acclaimed singer-songwriter Dick Lee, 13- year old singing sensation Miguel Antonio, actress Gillian Tan and travel host Anita Kapoor. Representing the arts was, Adeline Yeo, Singapore’s first female, finger-painting specialist who performed “live” painting, where, the Senior Minister of State, Mrs Josephine Teo added her touches to; and later blindfolded Adeline, who completed the painting, titled “The Colour of Love 2014”. The painting was auctioned and raised $9900 for the charity dinner that was attended by 370 guests. The event raised approximately $250,000 and funds raised will be used to support programmes that are in need, such as YouthReach which provides psycho-social rehab services for children and youth with mental health and emotional issues, Club 3R drop-in training centres in Toa Payoh and Jurong East as well as Caregiver Support Groups and Family Link Programmes to provide a holistic recovery environment for those affected with mental issues.

The Montfort Alumni organized the 2014 Montfort Charity Golf at the Orchid Country Club on May 30 with all 54 flights filled followed by a fundraising dinner at Peach Garden where more funds were raised through an auction of artworks, carpets and special Montfort items. Adeline Yeo donated 2 finger art paintings for the auction, together with her personally autographed coffee table books and scarf collection which raised over $15,000 for the event. Guest of Honour was Mr Tan Chee Meng who made the highest bid for Adeline’s Pizazz painting at a princely sum of $10,000. All funds raised will go towards the school’s upgrading project under MOE’s PERI (Primary Education Review and Implementation) Programme, this includes two new blocks which will house new facilities such as a band room, dance studio, special needs classrooms, rooms for Programme for Active Learning, meeting rooms and staff facilities. In addition, an amphitheater, outdoor learning classroom and a playground to promote outdoor learning outside the classroom will be part of this initiative. A total of $250,000 net of expenses was raised at the successful charity golf fundraiser.

NKF’s 45th Anniversary Charity Dinner

The National Kidney Foundation (NKF) organized its 45th Anniversary Charity Dinner at Resorts World Sentosa on April 5, 2014. Adeline Yeo painted live and then blindfolded during the live auction segment. Her painting ‘Rainbow Kisses’ and creative poem crafted specially for the event impressed the audience greatly and moved many hearts. The vibrant and splendid painting raised $11,000 for NKF and contributed significantly to the success of the event. Mr Gan Kim Yong, Minister for Health was the Guest of Honour at the charity fundraiser.

‘Pacific Island Soiree’ in aid of Sarcoma Cancer Research

 The Sarah-Grace Sarcoma Foundation together with Founder Dr Grace Moshi organized the charity fundraiser on October 4, 2013 at the Pan Pacific Hotel, Singapore in aid of Sarcoma Cancer Research. Adeline Yeo was invited to paint ‘live’ and constructed the artwork titled, ‘The Promise’ that was successfully bidded and sold for the charity fundraiser. Guest of Honour was Mrs Halimah Yacob, Speaker of Parliament.

 ‘On Course for Cure’ SingHealth Charity Golf Tournament

The annual SingHealth Charity Golf Tournament was held on July 26, 2013 at the Sentosa Golf Club to support research initiatives driven by the Surgery, Ophthalmology and Cardiovascular Diseases Academic Programs. Adeline Yeo was invited to paint ‘live’ and created the artwork titled, “On Course for Cure” that was successfully bidded and sold at the dinner fundraising segment. Adeline also donated Faith Walk, an artwork belonging to the Beautiful, Love 2012 Collection that encapsulated the message of a destination being the journey of faith in life itself. This artwork was immediately auctioned off and both paintings raised over $11,000 for research. Guest of Honour was Dr Vivian Balakrishnan, Minister for the Environment and Water Resources.
